Edoméx wins third place in the national award for social comptrollership 2021

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Secretary of the Comptroller’s Office of the State of Mexico (Secogem) informed that the jury of the XIII National Social Comptrollership Award 2021 awarded third place to the State of Mexico in the category of Citizen Oversight Actions in Public Management, thanks to the work presented by María Teresa Terrón Hernández, from the municipality of Toluca.

The objective of the contest is to recognize the best practices at national level in the matter, as well as to encourage the presentation of experiences and/or proposals related to citizen oversight actions in public management, which promote transparency, accountability and have an impact on the fight against corruption; for this reason, a state stage was previously held.

The award ceremony was held in Merida, Yucatan, within the framework of the LXVII National Meeting of the Permanent Commission of State-Federation Comptrollers (CPCE-F), which was attended by the head of this agency, Javier Vargas Zempoaltecatl; said agency, together with the federal Ministry of Public Administration (SFP), called for participation in the aforementioned contest.

It should be recalled that the social comptroller is the mechanism of citizen participation, whose objective is to observe and monitor that social programs and public works, as well as governmental procedures and services are carried out in accordance with the law, through a Citizen Committee of Control and Surveillance (Cocicovi).
