In Isla Mujeres, Quintana Roo, Atenea Gómez announces «Women’s Center» for better citizen service

#IslaMujeres, #QuintanaRoo. – Within the framework of the commemoration of «Orange Day», the municipal president of Isla Mujeres, Atenea Gómez Ricalde, toured the facilities of what will be the «Women’s Center», where she also announced the appointment of Martha Moo Haas, as Attorney for the Protection of Children, Adolescents and Family.

The Mayoress explained that, in order to centralize all services for women, this center will be inaugurated in the near future, both on the island and in the Continental Zone.

«We want to provide better attention to the women of our municipality by centralizing all the services provided to women, thus saving them unnecessary expenses and time,» commented Gómez Ricalde.

He detailed that the «Women’s Center» will have a training center, an employment center, a legal and psychological area, a temporary shelter, the Family Attorney’s Office and the Municipal Women’s Office. Likewise, women will be linked to the programs and services offered by the Community Development Center, such as workshops and courses to promote their empowerment.
