IMSS provides more than 437,000 services during the first three National Continuity of Services Conferences

#InstitutoMexicanoDelSeguroSocial.- The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) carried out the first three National Ordinary Services Continuity Days of 2022 and with this exercise 437,301 medical services were provided in the 35 State Offices and 25 High Specialty Medical Units, in order to strengthen access to health care for the beneficiaries.

Of the total number of services provided, 193,496 were Family Medicine Consultations, 59,225 Specialty Consultations, 7,447 Surgeries, 162,253 screenings, 14,825 diagnostic and treatment studies.

In addition, 55 transplants were performed, of which 19 were kidney transplants, 22 cornea transplants, seven bone marrow transplants, five liver transplants and two heart transplants.

Due to the decrease in the pandemic wave attributed to the Omicron variant, Social Security began the National Ordinary Services Days, mainly in states with a favorable yellow or green epidemic scenario, with the aim of providing the ordinary services required by the beneficiaries.
