Teotihuacan artisans make a replica of the belt that was given to the World Boxing Council in 2021

#GobiernoDelEstadoDeMéxico.- Mexico’s popular art is distinguished by its quality and potential, and has also managed to reach an international level.

In this sense, the State of Mexico stands out for the elaboration of four belts for the World Boxing Council (WBC): Mazahua, made by the Reyes Martínez sisters, from Villa de Allende, Otomí, created by Reyna Rayón, the Mestizo, by Vianey Flores and Raúl Pérez, from Toluca, and the Teotihuacan Belt, by the Cuevas Campos brothers.

As part of the actions in favor of promotion, dissemination and promotion of crafts, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, through the Institute for Research and Development of Crafts of the State of Mexico (IIFAEM), in coordination with the Municipality of San Martin de las Pyramides and the brothers Gerardo and Topacio Cuevas Campos, made the replica of the Teotihuacan Belt, for the enjoyment of the people of the State of Mexico.
