The Government of Japan delivers, through UNOPS, 494 medical equipments to Issste

#InstitutoDeSeguridadYServiciosSocialesDeLosTrabajadoresDelEstado.- Today, representatives of the Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (SRE), the Government of Japan and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), delivered medical equipment to the Hospital Bicentenario de la Independencia of the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (ISSSTE) in Tultitlán, State of Mexico, to deal with the COVID-19 health emergency.

The Regional Hospital received 14 hospital beds, 7 intensive care beds, 4 incubators, 3 stretchers, 2 transfer stretchers, 1 ultrasonic washer, 7 vital signs monitors, 2 laryngoscopes and 1 steam sterilizer.

This delivery is part of the non-reimbursable financial cooperation project of the Government of Japan, for 5.6 million dollars, through which 494 medical equipment were delivered to 12 hospitals in the State of Mexico, Baja California, Chihuahua, Mexico City, Coahuila, Jalisco, Guerrero and Tamaulipas; as well as 14 ambulances in the State of Oaxaca; benefiting more than 1.8 million Mexicans.
