Boca del Río City Council Installs Municipal System for Equality between Women and Men and a Life Free of Violence

#BocaDelRío, #Ver.- The reality that women live in today, becomes a call to design, implement and monitor public policies of short, medium and long term, in order to combat the causes that prevent and hinder their development, emphasized the Mayor of Boca del Río, Juan Manuel Unánue Abascal.

For this reason, this Thursday the Municipal System for Equality between Women and Men and a Life Free of Violence of the municipality of Boca del Río was installed and approved for the period 2022-2025.

With the participation of representatives of the Academy, Civil Society, as well as aldermen and municipal officials, the Municipal President, highlighted the need to implement public policies that allow progress in the Municipal Agenda for the Development of Women and Girls, with the firm commitment to promote equality between women and men.

«This government is clear that the contribution of women must be made in all areas, without discrimination and under the guiding principle of equality, incorporating women fully into social life through planning that allows them to meet their needs and with actions that allow them to properly exercise their rights,» said the mayor.
