Pedro Zenteno calls on physicians to participate in the call for specialty positions

#InstitutoDeSeguridadYServiciosSocialesDeLosTrabajadoresDelEstado.- The Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste) requires 979 specialists, «which we hope to cover through the Mexican Government’s call to fill 13,765 positions throughout the country,» informed the Director General, Pedro Zenteno Santaella.

During a two-day working tour in San Luis Potosí, the head of Issste pointed out that in Mexico there is a deficit of specialist medical personnel, lack of service vocation; some do not want to go where they are needed and look for the comfort of the clinics in the cities; the problem has been getting worse and that is why the situation is complicated, he added.

He is confident that the call presented by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador will succeed in recruiting the Mexican specialists that the institute needs and continue with the transformation strategy to strengthen the care provided to the more than 13.6 million beneficiaries.
