SICT has Preventive Measures for the effects of Hurricane «Agatha» in the Pacific Ocean

#SecretaríaDeInfraestructuraComunicacionesYTransporte.- The Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) is prepared to attend to possible damages that could occur due to the impact of hurricane «Agatha» category 2, on the Mexican coasts during the next few days.

In order to timely address the possible damages that may occur in the federal network of toll-free federal highways in the area of influence of «Agatha», the SICT has technical personnel from the SCT Centers Chiapas, Guerrero, Oaxaca, Tabasco and Veracruz, as well as crews, machinery and vehicles from the Routine Maintenance contractors.

A total of 329 engineers and technicians, 1,156 workers, as well as 263 vehicles and 178 pieces of heavy machinery such as backhoes, motor graders and dump trucks will be deployed, which, if necessary, will be mobilized to immediately attend the points of the road network where there is damage, with the purpose of reestablishing vehicular circulation and providing safety to users.
