Nearly 11,000 medical specialists registered for the National Recruitment and Hiring Day

#InstitutoMexicanoDelSeguroSocial.- From May 24 to June 3, 10,920 healthcare professionals registered on the platform of the National Recruitment and Hiring Day for Doctors and Medical Specialists to fill one of the 14,323 positions required in healthcare institutions nationwide.

During the press conference headed by the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, at the National Palace, the Director General of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoé Robledo, highlighted that this call was an unprecedented effort by the health sector institutions, National Health Institutes and the state governments, which through the Institute of Health for Wellbeing (Insabi) put all their vacancies in the same place.

He pointed out that the original call for applications went from 13,765 to 14,323 due to the fact that Insabi increased the number of vacancies; of these, 6,963 had at least one application from a doctor, while 7,360 had none.

Zoé Robledo informed that of the registered doctors, each one could choose up to three options, so there are 23,574 applications.
