Passenger traffic grew 41.8% in the first five months of the year at ASA’s network airports

#SecretaríaDeInfraestructuraComunicacionesYTransporte.- From January to May 2022, the 19 airports that make up the Airports and Auxiliary Services Network (ASA Network) will see a 41.8% increase in passenger traffic, equivalent to 1,512,748 people, compared to the 1,67,145 users that received service in the same period in 2021.

During this period, 15 air terminals reported growth in passenger service: Nuevo Laredo, with an increase of 96.2%; Loreto, with 71.3%; Chetumal, 65.2%; Puerto Escondido, 53.3%; Puebla, 49. 6%; Campeche, 41.4%; Ciudad Obregón, 40.3%; Tepic, 31.5%; Colima, 30.9%; Ciudad del Carmen, 15.6%; Ciudad Victoria, 15.5%; Guaymas, 12.7%; Tehuacán, 7.3%; Uruapan, 7%; and, Matamoros, with a 6.7% growth.

In the same five months of 2022, in the 19 terminals of the ASA Network, a total of 54,919 air operations were carried out, 6.7% more than in the same period of 2021, when 51,465 were recorded. 10 of the terminals operated and managed by ASA are the ones that registered a percentage increase in this category: Puebla, with 38.1%; Puerto Escondido, 28.2%; Chetumal, 23.5%; Loreto, 21.5%; Poza Rica, 21.4%; Tehuacán, 20.8%; Tamuín, 19.1%; Tepic, 8.5%; Colima, 7%; and, the Ciudad del Carmen airport, with 4.3%.
