Issste adds more than 800 new supplies to equipment strategy

#InstitutoDeSeguridadYServiciosSocialesDeLosTrabajadoresDelEstado.- The Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste) has added 833 new pieces of equipment distributed in first level units in Oaxaca, Tlaxcala and Sinaloa; second level units in San Luis Potosí, and the «Lic. Adolfo López Mateos» Regional Hospital in Mexico City, out of a total of 31,960 pieces of equipment and furniture acquired for clinics and hospitals. With these actions, progress is being made in the rehabilitation and transformation of medical services for the benefit of 13.6 million beneficiaries, informed the General Director, Pedro Zenteno Santaella.

The objective is to continue the strategy to recover the Institute and make it, once again, an example of social security, as it was many years ago. The human right to health with quality services must be guaranteed to members; this is President Andrés Manuel López Obrador’s instruction and it is being applied, he said.

Pedro Zenteno said that with the distribution of these 833 pieces of equipment and furniture to medical units, the total number of items delivered this year to Issste clinics and hospitals in 16 states: Baja California, Baja California Sur, Mexico City, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Guanajuato, Guerrero, Jalisco, Oaxaca, Puebla, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala and Yucatán is 2,452.

«These actions are the result of supervising each clinic at ground level, with less desk and more territory. We will consolidate the transformation of the institute in order to serve as they deserve the lords and masters of the organization: the beneficiaries,» he said.
