114 million pesos for schools in Tecámac, obtained by Mariela Gutiérrez

#Tecámac, #EstadoDeMéxico. – The Municipal President of Tecámac, Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, reached an important agreement with the head of the Ministry of Public Education, Delfina Gómez, so that through the LEE program «The School is Ours» 114 million pesos will be allocated to more than 200 schools in this municipality, at the preschool, elementary and high school levels.

After thanking the application of federal resources, the mayoress highlighted the willingness of the municipal government she heads to contribute with 30 percent of the additional resources of its budget, with the committees that decide to invest them in works or maintenance of the buildings.

He gave a wide recognition to the Secretary of Education for her interest in improving the sector’s conditions, and did not hesitate to point out that the country’s education is in the best hands.

«An outstanding compañera mexiquense is responsible for the educational policy of the Government of Mexico and it fills me with pride to know that the education of our girls, boys and young people is in such good hands,» Gutiérrez Escalante remarked.

One of the priorities of his government has been to strengthen the education sector, so that Tecámac becomes the new «city of knowledge», which provides development opportunities for young people, She stressed.

Currently, the municipality of Tecámac has an educational infrastructure of 524 schools, of which 367 are public. The basic education enrollment of the municipality is made up of 104,478 students.
