Insured, employers and retirees carry out millions of digital procedures before IMSS

#InstitutoMexicanoDelSeguroSocial.- The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) is working to strengthen the digital services it offers through the IMSS Digital mobile application and its institutional portal http://www.imss.gob.mx in order to offer various free procedures remotely, thus avoiding the need for policyholders, employers and retirees to travel to the Institute’s sub-delegations or family medicine units.

The IMSS Digital application for cell phones and tablets has been downloaded more than 16.5 million times and is one of the most widely used federal government and health applications.

Of the institutional procedures for incorporation and collection registered with the National Commission for Regulatory Improvement, practically three out of four can be carried out digitally.

The most used services include the Notice of Affiliation Movements/IMSS From Your Company (104,757,641 movements during the first half of 2022), the Consultation of Contributed Weeks (more than 13 million certificates generated), the Assignment or Location of Social Security Number (11. 1 million requests), Consultation of Validity of Rights (more than 7 million consultations), Registration and Change of Insured and Family Clinic (4.2 million procedures), Certificate of No Entitlement (more than 3 million requests) and the Personalized IMSS Contribution Report (more than 1,600 people register daily).
