In Colima, profound changes are perceived in the health system operated by IMSS-Bienestar

#InstitutoMexicanoDelSeguroSocial.- With the will of the Mexican and Colima governments, decisions were made in health matters and today we can see profound changes in the service offered to the population by hospitals and Health Centers that are already part of the IMSS-Bienestar program, said the general director of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoé Robledo.

This was achieved by making decisions that should have been taken a long time ago, «one of them, to convert the hospitals and Health Centers of Colima to the IMSS-BIENESTAR Program, and there, Governor Indira Vizcaino has been a great ally», said Zoé Robledo, during the act of Supervision of the IMSS-Bienestar Health Plan, in Villa de Álvarez, headed by the President of Mexico, Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

During the event held at the IMSS-Bienestar Villa de Álvarez Hospital, he indicated that it was also necessary to know the reality and not interpret it from the comfort of a desk, but «to come and see how things were», and for this purpose, in January of this year, a diagnostic survey was carried out to identify the needs of the state health sector.

Zoé Robledo pointed out that during the census, the lack of 4,568 pieces of equipment was identified throughout the state health system, which is in the process of being acquired, consisting of scales, hospital beds, fetal heartbeat detectors that can save the life of a pregnant patient, and diagnostic kits.

He said that instead of regretting the things that were wrong, they got down to work and in just two months «this process can already be identified» with the work of all the governments and the participation of the population.
