IMSS exceeds care goal by 129 percent during the 11th National Day of Regular Services / @zoerobledo @Tu_IMSS >>

#IMSS.- The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) surpassed its goal of 129 percent of the total number of services provided during the 11th National Ordinary Services Day, with the aim of increasing access to health services in accordance with the National Plan for the Recovery of Health Services delayed by the COVID 19 pandemic.

During the day from August 12 to 14, 158,331 of the 122,712 planned services were provided, with the participation of the 35 Decentralized Administrative Operating Agencies (OOAD) and the 25 High Specialty Medical Units (UMAE), in order to increase the timeliness in the provision of services.

Priority was given to the specialties with the longest delays in Outpatient Consultation and Surgery at the Second and Third Level, as well as to Integrated Preventive Actions and Family Medicine Consultation at the First Level.

The main results obtained are: 70 thousand 551 Family Medicine Consultations, 24 thousand 69 Specialty Consultations, 3 thousand 20 Surgeries, 55 thousand 850 Screenings, 4 thousand 818 Auxiliary Diagnostic and Treatment Studies, and 23 Organ Transplants.

With the sum of the 11 days of care provided by the OOADs and UMAE, a total of 1,688,143 services were provided, of which 244,117 were Specialty Consultations, 31,125 Surgeries, 610,120 Screenings, 749,54 Family Medicine Consultations, 53,509 Auxiliary Diagnostic and Treatment Studies, and 218 Transplants.
