Cultura Comunitaria promotes cultural heritage in Mexico as a means of development and social welfare / @alefrausto @cultura_mx >>>

#SecretaríaDeCultura.- Within the framework of the «Integral Development Plan for the towns of Acasico, Palmarejo and Temacapulín in Jalisco», the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico, through the Community Culture program, will hold the workshop «Community construction of cultural heritage (memory, history and identity)», with the objective of sharing with the communities of these three localities theoretical and methodological tools to appropriate the defense and promotion of their cultural heritage as a means of development and social wellbeing.

During this workshop, participants will discuss and reflect on the concepts and legislative foundations of cultural heritage, as well as federal and state public policies and the scope and limits of the commercial uses of cultural heritage in relation to community development and its application in favor of the social welfare of their communities.

This workshop will be given in person at the Curato Viejo, located in the center of Temacapulín, Jalisco, on September 2, 3, 23 and 24 from 11:00 to 17:00 hours by Ishtar Cardona, PhD in Sociology from the Institute of Higher Studies of Latin America of the Sorbonne University, Paris, France.
