#EstadoDeMéxico.- Governor Alfredo Del Mazo Maza and Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, the head of government of Mexico City, presented the Integral Plan for the Supply of Drinking Water to the Valley of Mexico, which, through various actions, such as the improvement of water supply systems such as the Cutzamala, aims to increase the flow of water available in this area, from 63 to 74 cubic meters of water per second.

The state governor pointed out that the region of the Valley of Mexico has one of the lowest water allocations per inhabitant in the country; therefore, he considered it necessary to strengthen the distribution infrastructure, and explained that to overcome the challenges in this region, his administration, together with the Conagua and the Government of Mexico City are undertaking actions such as an agreement to technify the irrigation area of the «El Bosque-Colorines» canal, which was also signed by the Government of Michoacán, seeking to manage the supply and reduce under-use in agricultural work.

At the presentation of this project, which was attended by mayors from Mexico City and Michoacán, the Government of Michoacán also signed an agreement to manage water supply and reduce under-utilization in agricultural work.
