The 2nd Trilateral Forum on Workforce Development in North America was held in México / @tatclouthier @SE_mx >>>

#SE.- The 2nd Trilateral Forum on Workforce Development in North America, within the framework of the Competitiveness Committee of the Treaty between Mexico, the United States and Canada (T-MEC), an effort to address the challenges faced by the region in terms of labor development, came to an end.

The opening ceremony was attended by the Secretary of Economy, Tatiana Clouthier; the Secretary of Labor and Social Welfare, Luisa María Alcalde; the Director General of the National Council for Standardization and Certification of Labor Competencies (CONOCER), Rodrigo Rojas; and the head of the Academic Studies and Exchange Unit of the National College of Technical Professional Education (CONALEP).

Also present were Daniel O’Brien, Deputy Assistant Deputy Trade Representative for North America of the Office of the United States Trade Representative, and Eric Walsh, Canada’s Acting Assistant Deputy Minister for the Americas for Global Affairs.

Secretary Clouthier noted that the workforce is at the core of development; not only that, it also has a major impact on the competitiveness of both companies and countries.

«Our human capital having access to well-paying jobs and personal development is the way forward for all of society,» she said.
