More than 89 thousand Mexican students return to Colegio de Bachilleres classrooms

#SEP.- The Colegio de Bachilleres (Colbach) is ready to welcome 89,506 students to its 20 campuses this Monday, September 5, to begin activities for the 2022-B semester, with the support of 3,609 teachers and 2,794 administrative workers.

This institution of higher education represents one of the first educational forces since, according to 2022 indicators of the Metropolitan Commission of Public Institutions of Higher Education (Comipems), Colbach will absorb 16.8 percent of applicants, which represents 41,101 assigned students.

After more than two years of confinement due to the worldwide health emergency that implied the closure of educational institutions, this will be the first time that many of its students will attend their campus, while for others it will represent the return to the institution to continue their education in the third and fifth semesters.

In this way, the on-site academic work, which had been resumed, to a large extent, since the previous semester, when 1,701 teachers and 1,908 professors attended the classrooms, will continue.

It is worth mentioning that during the peak of the pandemic, Colbach registered a significant participation of students in its 20 campuses in Mexico City and the surrounding area, thanks to the strategic actions taken to rescue and care for high school students.
