#ISSSTE. #MexicoCity. – For the first time, the Institute of Security and Social Services for State Workers (Issste), three regional hospitals and the National Medical Center (CMN) «20 de Noviembre» completed four organ and tissue donations for transplant in less than 12 hours, benefiting several beneficiaries with diseases and significant damage to their health, including a patient with cardiac pathology classified as a national emergency, because his life was in danger.

The General Director of the Institute, Pedro Zenteno Santaella, highlighted the outstanding work of the donation and transplant committee teams of the Regional Hospitals «Lic. Adolfo López Mateos», «1° de Octubre», «Gral. Ignacio Zaragoza» and the CMN «20 de Noviembre», as well as the General Hospital Tláhuac «Dra. Matilde Petra Montoya Lafragua», which supported with the care and transfer of the donor to the CMN.

He emphasized that these medical units acted with speed, precision and responsibility in an excellent task that made it possible to save and improve lives.
