#IMSS.- This plan seeks to shorten times in emergency services, improve care, information and make the best decisions in hospitalization, surgery, consultation, laboratory and imaging studies for beneficiaries.

The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) concluded the second stage of interventions in medical units of 8 Representative Offices in Aguascalientes, Chiapas, Hidalgo, Michoacán, Oaxaca, Tabasco, Veracruz Sur and Zacatecas, where the strategy «Urgencias 24/7 y Hospital 360» is being applied.

This was announced by the Director of Medical Services of the IMSS, Dr. Celida Duque Molina, who explained that this program seeks to shorten times in emergency services, in addition to improving care, making the best decisions in hospitalization, surgery, consultation, laboratory and imaging studies for the beneficiaries. The «Hospital 360» concept links everything we do inside the medical unit, he said.

In the last month, he pointed out, the staff of the Medical Services Directorate and the heads of the Medical Services Department of these representations toured first and second level medical units in order to take advantage of areas of opportunity in prevention, hospitalization and specialty consultation.

He explained that in order to develop the «24/7 and Hospital 360» strategy, the country has been divided into regions to work in a systematized way and, in parallel, to carry out supervision tasks, with the aim of strengthening care for the benefit of the beneficiaries.
