Two Points Architecture Studio wins bid for the conservation of the Feathered Serpent Pyramid in México / @alefrausto @cultura_mx >>>

#SecretaríaDeCultura.- The Secretary of Culture of the Government of Mexico, through the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH), and the Secretary of Culture and Tourism of the Government of the State of Mexico presented the award to the winning design of the integral protection system for the west façade of the Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent in the Archaeological Zone of Teotihuacan.

The general director of INAH, Diego Prieto Hernández, on behalf of the federal Secretary of Culture, Alejandra Frausto Guerrero, and the state Secretary of Culture and Tourism, Marcela González Salas y Petricioli, recognized the project by Estudio Dos Puntos Arquitectura, which combined the vision of 26 professionals from different fields.

Upon being selected, this project was awarded 600,000 pesos; two second places were also awarded, each of which received 300,000 pesos. These were the projects of Ignitia Desarrollos and Enrique Lastra, from Wit and Taro Zorrilla Takeda.

At the awards ceremony, which took place at the archaeological site, the head of INAH said that the successful completion of this first stage could be achieved by joining efforts, so he acknowledged the funding from the Government of the State of Mexico, both for the contest and for the conservation diagnosis of the Pyramid of the Feathered Serpent, which required an investment of three million pesos.
