In San Miguel de Allende, a success in terms of economic and tourist flow during »Fiestas Patrias«

#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto. – With the impulse and promotion of the Municipal Government headed by President Mauricio Trejo, this World Heritage City achieved extraordinary results in economic matters, by capturing a millionaire investment due to its hotel occupancy and the average expenditure of its tourists, during this weekend of Fiestas Patrias, from September 14 to 17.

In this «Patriotic Weekend» San Miguel obtained extraordinary numbers, with respect to the hotel sector, it had a 100% occupancy rate, the restaurant sector had a 60% increase in sales compared to the same period last year; in economic terms, it exceeded 600 million pesos in general economic revenue.

Another relevant factor for the success of the «Patriotic Weekend» was the «white balance» in terms of security, since the Department of Public Safety, Municipal Transit and Civil Protection guarded every event and public space, so that people could attend and enjoy the Fiestas Patrias in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.

From «La Fragua de la Independencia», these more than 150 thousand tourists experienced the Fiestas Patrias in the flesh during this long weekend, which began on Wednesday with the arrival of the Cabalgata de los Conspiradores that recalled the trip made by Ignacio Perez in 1810 from Queretaro to the Villa de San Miguel el Grande, to inform Ignacio Allende that the Independence Conspiracy had just been discovered.
