#Edoméx.- For the administration of Governor Alfredo Del Mazo Maza, listening to and giving voice to the opinion of the children and adolescents of the State of Mexico has been a priority, highlighted Martha Hilda González Calderón, head of the Secretariat for Women (Semujeres), during the Twelfth Ordinary Session of the System for the Integral Protection of Children and Adolescents of the State of Mexico (SIPINNA).

In this sense, she said that the implementation of actions, plans and projects is vital for this sector of the population, such as the implementation of the subject of gender equality, which seeks to provide them with a foundation in human rights and a culture of peace, recognizing the work done by the Ministry of Education, in collaboration with UNESCO.

In the presence of Olga María Esquivel Hernández, Executive Secretary of SIPINNA Edoméx, Fernanda Serrato López, Head of the Department of Public Health Policies and Health Promotion of the Health Institute of the State of Mexico (ISEM), González Calderón gave a report on the progress of the Pact for Early Childhood.

In that sense, she mentioned that the entity became a pioneer by punctuating objectives, strategies and lines of action in the State Development Plan 2017-2023, with which it was achieved that state agencies design, implement and follow up on policies, programs and actions that will benefit the more than one million 300 thousand girls and boys in their comprehensive development.

She pointed out that this commitment will be fulfilled by meeting goals such as achieving the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding at six months, increasing preschool education coverage to 72 percent and improving its quality, reducing the prevalence of anemia in children from zero to five years of age, among others.
