SICT will modernize 33.5 kilometers of the San Ignacio-Tayoltita highway, San Juan-Sinaloa and Durango state border stretch / @jorgenunol @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- In order to comply with the presidential commitment to continue building the San Ignacio-Tayoltita road, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) plans to modernize 33.5 kilometers of this highway in its San Juan section in Sinaloa by 2023.

The works, which will be carried out on the border with the state of Durango, include the construction of three bridges: Los Frailes, El Candelero and El Platanito, which will run from kilometer 15+500 to 49+000.

SICT works on the San Ignacio-Tayoltita road began in 2019 with an investment of 577 million pesos.

To date, the construction of 24.5 kilometers of this rural road has been completed at the earth level, in the stretch from kilometer 65+300 to 89+800, border of the states of Sinaloa and Durango.

The construction of the bridges will connect the highlands region of the municipality of San Ignacio with Tayoltita, Durango.

These works will benefit 11,131 inhabitants, of which 5,824 belong to San Ignacio, El Limoncito (El Palmar), Vado Hondo, El Puente, El Espíritu, La Bajada, El Guayabo, Los Platanitos, Tepehuaje, Tenchoquelite, Los Brasiles, El Cantón, Las Lajas, Los Humayes, La Huerta, San Fermín, San Rafael and San Juan, in the municipality of San Ignacio, Sinaloa.
