#SEP.- The Secretary of Public Education, Leticia Ramírez Amaya, affirmed that the nation forged the public school as a universal and free right so that every child in this country is guaranteed, from birth, a place in school.
For this reason, he said, the SEP works tirelessly to have everyone in school, not only for the mere attendance to a school, but also because Mexican society is shaped, shaped and built in school.
In his final message to members of the Education Commission of the Chamber of Deputies, before whom she appeared as part of the Fourth Government Report of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Ramírez Amaya assured that public schools carry with them the principles of freedom, equality and justice on which the values of democracy and republican life are based.
She added that the public school puts the welfare of the people above privileges, and is the meeting point of coexistence and social cohesion, where all Mexicans coincide regardless of their diversity and condition. That is why its existence is a guarantee of a future with social peace.
