#AtizapánDeZaragoza, #EstadoDeMéxico. – In the event of his First Government Report, held in the vicinity of the Municipal Palace, the Mayor of Atizapán de Zaragoza, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas highlighted the work done during 2022 to promote the development of Atizapán families, whose three main pillars, he stressed, are the historic investment in public works, the strengthening of security and social support to lay the foundations of a municipality that seeks to consolidate itself as one of the best at state and national level.
It was in the Second Solemn Ceremony of Cabildo, and in the presence of the Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo Del Mazo Maza and the President of the Superior Court of Justice of the Judiciary Council of the State of Mexico, Magistrate Ricardo Sodi Cuellar, that the Municipal President highlighted that Atizapán de Zaragoza is a Municipality that stands out for carrying out infrastructure works throughout its territory in order to raise the quality of life of its citizens.
«For a better quality of life, we declare ourselves a Municipality in work because this year we made a historic investment of more than one thousand 95 million pesos, the largest investment in Atizapán de Zaragoza in just one year, which translates into infrastructure works throughout the municipal territory,» said Rodríguez Villegas.
On this same subject, he highlighted works such as the rehabilitation of Avenida Adolfo Ruiz Cortines, Vía Dr. Jorge Jiménez Cantú, Bulevar Bellavista, better known as «El Tornillo», the first stretch of Calzada San Mateo, several streets and avenues rehabilitated with asphalt and hydraulic concrete, sanitary drainage and drinking water systems in several neighborhoods, as well as recreational spaces such as the Ana Gabriela Guevara, Zaragoza and Villa Jardín sports facilities.
He also mentioned that with the Permanent Patching Program, 466 streets were attended, 59 main roads and 49 secondary roads.
Rodriguez Villegas thanked Governor Alfredo Del Mazo for his support in maintaining close contact with the people of Atizapá, thus contributing to the improvement of this municipality, which is the seventh largest economy in the state.
He explained that work continues on projects such as the Chiluca Depressido, the «El Campanario» elevated bridge, school archways and the Animal Protection Unit, to meet the health and welfare needs of pets, in addition to a new sports center located in the San Lorenzo neighborhood.
Another of the pillars that he highlighted in his first year of government was public safety, a task that, he said, he set as one of the fundamental objectives to maintain a good development in all other aspects.
«An unprecedented historic investment was made for the incorporation of 163 new patrol cars; today 249 units circulate throughout the municipality, in order to reduce response times.
«We installed 200 new video surveillance cameras and 296 that were installed in 2015 were modernized; having a total of 1,095 cameras in operation, including those provided to us by the Government of the State of Mexico,» he remarked.
He especially highlighted the collaboration and support of the Secretariat of the Mexican Navy both in training and in the development of joint strategies with the security elements of the Directorate of Public Safety and Municipal Transit of Atizapán de Zaragoza.
«We also implemented the Community Surveillance Plan by Quadrants, made up of 22 sectors and 99 quadrants, with the objective of having a greater capacity to react to any emergency. We delivered 352 ballistic vests and 100 radio communication equipment, in addition to the delivery of uniforms to municipal police officers,» said Rodriguez Villegas.
On the same subject, the Mayor said that work was also done to dignify police work by providing 809 promotions and 66 salary equalizations.
In the area of Social Development, he highlighted before former mayors of Atizapán de Zaragoza, Municipal Presidents of neighboring municipalities and representatives of the business, social and religious sectors, support such as the delivery of Municipal Scholarships and the installation of 43 Community Kitchens that serve 4,300 hot meals a day at low cost to support the family economy.
«As a priority of my government is the support to our children and youth with the delivery of more than 7 thousand scholarships to students from elementary to higher education, so they can continue their studies and pursue their dreams. As well as the support for the beginning of the school year under the modality of on-site classes, with the maintenance and equipment of the municipality’s schools.
