#Ecatepec, #EstadoDeMéxico. – While delivering his first government report, the mayor pointed out that four years ago the most populated municipality in the State of Mexico began a process of change that has allowed improving the quality of life of more than 1,550,000 inhabitants of the town.
Before more than 20 thousand citizens, businessmen, social, political and religious leaders, the municipal president of Ecatepec, Fernando Vilchis Contreras, affirmed that this municipality will lead the transformation of the State of Mexico.
«We have a lot to contribute to help consolidate a project and to put an end to more than 80 years of bad government and corruption. We have already done it in Ecatepec and we will be able to do it in the whole State of Mexico», he pointed out.
Before the national leader of Morena, Mario Delgado; Senator Delfina Gómez and Senator Raúl Morón, representative of the Head of Government of the CDMX, Claudia Sheinbaum, Vilchis Contreras stressed that thanks to working shoulder to shoulder with the people it was possible to change the face of the municipality with more security, public works and services, culture and drinking water supply.
«Today Ecatepec is bigger than ever, stronger than ever and more united than ever. I am very proud to be here and to appear before all of you, to comply to the letter of the law and to be accountable to thousands and thousands of Ecatepenses, who represent the strength, work and unity of all the neighborhoods, communities and native peoples of our municipality,» he said.
The municipal president recognized that with values and with adherence to the precepts of the Fourth Transformation, the municipality of Ecatepec has consolidated itself as a territory with values, where Mexican humanism has taken root as a form of government.
«Today, Ecatepec is a municipality with values, which rises. Today, our municipality resurges with the strength of its history, its culture and traditions, but above all, with the tireless work of its good people, its honest and hardworking people,» emphasized the mayor.
He considered that the DNA of Ecatepec is Mexican humanism and the Fourth Transformation promoted by the federal executive, Andrés Manuel López Obrador, «putting above all the welfare of the people and the people of Mexico, with real actions in favor of the people who need it most, with social programs for our seniors, support for our young people, scholarships for our students and urban infrastructure for our neighborhoods».
The mayor indicated that the fight against corruption undertaken from the first day in charge of the government of Ecatepec, allowed to undertake a great crusade for the safety of all citizens, which includes the implementation of 1,600 video surveillance cameras of Project Jaguar, the delivery of 450 patrol cars and 200 weapons, as well as the professionalization of the elements of the municipal police.
Fernando Vilchis was forceful in stating that there is no place for crime in Ecatepec, so he will continue to fight criminal groups to prevent them from trying to take over the territory at all costs.
