#Celaya, #Gto.- Last Wednesday morning in the community of San Juan de la Vega, a celebration was held for the promoters of the Coordination of the Elderly in the northern zone of the municipality of Celaya.

Adriana Cárdenas Ruíz, who is in charge of this area, pointed out that this posada is in gratitude for the work carried out during the last year since, thanks to the active participation of the citizens, the gerontological centers in the communities attend a large number of people.

In the case of the San Juan de la Vega center, which is one of the largest in Celaya, it receives between 40 and 50 people daily who carry out various activities and workshops.

«This is a special meeting of thanks and recognition to our promoters, and without a doubt without them we would not be able to reach so many people, this 2022 has been a year of challenges, but thanks to the fact that most of the services have been reopened, which due to the pandemic were closed, we managed to reach more older adults, which is the sector of the population that we serve,» he said.

With a meal and a ceremony of gratitude for life, was that the place was convivial.

«We are very happy with the work that is being done in Adulto Mayor and we feel that we benefit, we learn things and we support each other,» said one of the ladies in attendance.
