Integrity and Transparency Unit reinforces IMSS with preventive strategies for institutional improvement / @zoerobledo @Tu_IMSS >>>

#IMSS.- More than two years after its consolidation, the Integrity and Transparency Unit of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) has promoted preventive strategies and actions in terms of accountability and transparency, as well as an active promotion of interactive content to standardize integrity and ethical behavior among public servants.

In the framework of the International Anti-Corruption Day, the head of the Integrity and Transparency Unit, Patricia Pérez de los Ríos, pointed out that during this administration the Institute has consolidated efforts to simplify and digitalize high-demand administrative procedures; to reduce the discretional nature of decision-making in the hiring of personnel from different hierarchies or levels, both command and operational, and to strengthen transparency and accountability for the benefit of the institution and its beneficiary and user population.

Ms. Patricia Pérez explained that there are three main axes of her commitment as head of this Unit: one, to strengthen the culture of integrity within Social Security as a preventive mechanism; two, to contribute to the assimilation of a new ethics that meets international standards in the conduct of public servants; and third, to contribute to the improvement of public management in order to improve the services provided by the institution.

He pointed out that the «5 Actions of the IMSS-SNTSS Family for Integrity» initiative has had extraordinary results: more than 400 thousand people have received the contents of this initiative, which promotes and reinforces the principles and values of public service, and more than 80 thousand people have registered for the modules on the CLIMSS platform, which reinforce the contents of administrative responsibilities, ethics and integrity.
