#SecretaríaDeCultura.- During 2022, the Ministry of Culture of the Government of Mexico continued working so that the Los Pinos Cultural Complex would continue to grow in infrastructure and activities for the entire public and thus consolidate itself as a place for the free exercise of cultural rights.

To the already known venues within Los Pinos, among which are the Casa Miguel Alemán, the Casa Museo Lázaro Cárdenas, the Cencalli: La casa del maíz y la cultura alimentaria, and the Sala Miguel de la Madrid, were added La Garita, a space that aims to be an art gallery open to the public where works by contemporary artists will be exhibited.

La Garita opened its doors in November with the exhibition «Going Home» by artist Boris Viskin, which was open to the public until December 18. In this exhibition, which included more than 12 pictorial works, the artist sought to freeze the movement of modernity overflowing in geometric shapes that resemble the outline of traditional Mexican mats.

On the other hand, the space known as the soccer field concluded its remodeling and is now the Plaza El Solar, a place that premiered with Original. Mexican Textile Art Encounter 2022, in the month of November and which is open for outdoor activities.
