#Atizapán, #Edoméx.- The Municipal President of Atizapán de Zaragoza, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas, kicked off the «Cobijando Atizapán» program, which aims to support the most vulnerable families and cope with the cold weather that has occurred throughout the country.

In the first delivery, 1,500 blankets were handed out at the Finito Lopez Sports Center in the Lomas de Guadalupe neighborhood, and at the multipurpose courts in the Los Ahuehuetes and Alfredo V. Bonfil neighborhoods.

According to the Mayor, in order to gather the supplies, society and government worked together as a team.

«I am very grateful to institutions such as UNITEC and Baden Powell College for beginning to form in young people that altruistic work, the work of those who give something away to give it to someone else, and this training we give to young people will serve them for life and help the community.

«We should not only see what everyone is living, but open our eyes to those who need it most,» said the Mayor.

In support of the most vulnerable citizens in the demarcation, the Municipal DIF System also has community kitchens available and in previous visits has distributed food pantries.
