Mexican hotels awarded at the Prix Villégiature 2022 in France / @TorrucoTurismo @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- The head of the Ministry of Tourism (SECTUR) indicated that these awards are given to the best hotels in the world, in 20 categories, and highlighted that 11 Mexican hotels were nominated in different categories, making Mexico the country with the second most nominations after France, even though it was the first time Mexico competed for this recognition.

The presentation of the Prix Villégiature 2022 was led by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mexico to France and the Principality of Monaco, H.E. Ms. Blanca E. Jiménez Cisneros, who highlighted the wide range of tourist attractions that our country offers to international visitors, and congratulated the award-winning hotels as well as those that were recognized.

The hotels that received their awards at this ceremony were the Azulik Tulum hotel, in the Best Artistic Universe category; while the Sofitel Mexico City hotel was awarded in the Best Interior Design and Architecture category.

It should be noted that most of the Mexican hotels nominated were proposed by the Mexican Embassy in France. This was based on Sectur’s premium tourism quality program, «Treasures of Mexico».

The main purpose of this program is to promote the excellence of hotels and restaurants whose high standards of service, architectural and gastronomic features reflect and promote the richness of Mexican culture.
