#EstadoDeMéxico.- In order for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the State of México to have services to ensure food safety in food handling, the Ministry of Economic Development (Sedeco) offered specialized training to improve the quality of the services provided.

The head of Sedeco, Pablo Peralta García, highlighted the importance of hygienic food handling and mentioned that these actions are a commitment to education, training, diagnosis and evaluation of the economic units that offer services to consumers.

He pointed out that the 50 projects selected had the support of experts to carry out diagnostic and advisory visits to evaluate compliance with current regulations.

Secretary Peralta García mentioned that microbiological analyses of the water used in each of the establishments were also carried out, as well as bromatological analyses of the main product they sell, and they will continue to receive support so that they can soon implement their labeling project and verify compliance with the progress made.

He indicated that, through the Instituto Mexiquense del Emprendedor (IME), Sedeco offered training to guarantee compliance with the Mexican Official Standard NOM-251-SSA1-2009.
