#SICT.- With new connectivity works we have undertaken actions to fulfill the mission of reorganizing and strengthening the air sector and efficiently using the infrastructure of the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA), said the Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), Jorge Nuño Lara.

During AIFA’s First Anniversary, which was attended by General Luis Cresencio Sandoval González, Secretary of National Defense (Sedena); the general director of AIFA, Brig. Gen. Isidoro Pastor Román; and the Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo del Mazo Maza, Nuño Lara pointed out that this terminal has all the technical specifications to provide excellent cargo and passenger service, supported by modern roads and soon a Suburban Train from Buenavista to AIFA.

He indicated that, throughout this year, concrete steps have been taken to improve land connectivity, an example of which are the works being carried out by the Federal Government, which are achieving significant savings in travel times.

Among them are: the San Jeronimo access; the toll-free road from Tonanitla to AIFA; the expansion from 4 to 8 lanes of the Mexico-Pachuca Highway, as well as the infrastructure developed by the governments of the State of Mexico and Mexico City.
