#EstadoDeVeracruz.- For dedicating their working lives to guaranteeing healthcare for the people of Veracruz, the Ministry of Health (SS) presented medals and awards to 1,175 workers with 65, 55, 50, 45, 45, 40, 35, 30, 25 and 20 years of seniority in different areas.

In a ceremony held at the World Trade Center of this municipality, the head of the agency, Gerardo Díaz Morales, highlighted the gratitude expressed by the Senate of the Republic to the union that did not lower its guard and maintained its commitment to the citizens during the pandemic.

He also informed that the hiring of 130 specialist positions has been authorized, which will strengthen the hospital network in the state, as well as the immediate purchase of a linear accelerator for the benefit of oncology patients, achievements that are part of the efforts of the sector’s workers.

On behalf of those who received the «Seniority Awards 2022», nurse María Jarvio Arcos pointed out that this government’s concern for health care workers has been reflected in the improvement of units and in the care provided to workers. «The change can be seen and we are living it».

The award ceremony was attended by the heads of the SS directorates and union representatives of the medical community, as well as local deputy Adriana Esther Martínez Sánchez.
