Guanajuato’s Upper Secondary and Higher Education personnel are involved in the School Republic program / @diegosinhue @gobiernogto >>>
#EstadoDeGuanajuato.- With the participation of more than 200 people, including coordinators, directors, teachers and school coexistence liaisons, from 50 middle and high schools, the Ministry of Education of Guanajuato, SEG, held the Induction Day for the School Republic Program, for its implementation at these levels.
During the activity, the attendees learned about the guiding principles of the program, such as: promotion and culture of peace, civic-democratic values, art and culture, respect for human rights, leadership, social-emotional skills and healthy living, which are based on respect for the opinions of others and consensus building based on diversity.
This proposal is framed within the Social Pact for Education to enrich the line of Peaceful School Coexistence, with the support of the Electoral Institute of the State of Guanajuato, IEEG, who for nine school cycles has collaborated to make the program possible in 100 percent of secondary schools in the Northeast, with excellent results.
The event took place in the municipal auditorium of Victoria, where the attendees listened attentively to the message of Aldelmo Emmanuel Israel Reyes Pablo, Undersecretary of Secondary and Higher Education, who urged them to give School Republic a chance, to get to know the program, to be a factor so that young people become interested in participating and together improve the environment from the classroom.
In his message, he recognized the great work of directors and teachers, since thanks to their vocation and commitment that they show every day, «you manage to motivate young people to go to school, to participate and exceed their own expectations, and that is what República Escolar proposes; to recognize the abilities and talents, as well as the interests of the students so that, as a complementary part to the academic training they already receive in a comprehensive manner, they can feel interested again in belonging and representing their educational institution».
