#Ecatepec, #Edoméx.- The municipal government in coordination with staff of the Red Cross Ecatepec delegation, managed to gather more than 500 people who voluntarily joined the massive blood donation campaign that took place at the Centro Cultural y Deportivo Las Américas.

Fernando Vichis Contreras, municipal president, thanked the response of the people of Ecatepec to the blood donation campaign called «Saving lives, it’s in your blood».

The mayor pointed out that «with the sum of wills and efforts we can make joint actions with institutions of great honor such as the Red Cross in favor of our citizens».

Germán Contreras García, president of the Red Cross Ecatepec delegation, pointed out that «today in Ecatepec was a historic event, every day more and more citizens are convinced that actions like this save lives and that we must promote a culture of blood donation».

According to a balance made by the institution, the campaign launched in coordination with the municipal government was attended by more than 500 people voluntarily, which represents the highest number ever recorded by all the Red Cross delegations at the state level.
