#Naucalpan, #Edom\u00e9x<\/strong>.- The Government of Naucalpan, headed by municipal president Isaac Montoya M\u00e1rquez, consolidated a transcendental step in the fight for water justice with the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Mexico. This agreement will allow for the comprehensive recovery of the Hondo River, benefiting thousands of families and laying the groundwork for more equitable and sustainable water management in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Montoya M\u00e1rquez highlighted that this alliance will guarantee wastewater treatment, rainwater catchment and its potabilization, with the objective of strengthening Naucalpan’s water autonomy and reducing dependence on the Cutzamala System. \u201cAccess to water is a right, not a privilege. This project is a fundamental transformation that will change the lives of our people and set a new course in the history of the municipality,\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mayor emphasized that the water crisis requires urgent and structural solutions, so this collaboration with the Netherlands represents an invaluable opportunity for the exchange of knowledge and technology in water management. \u201cFor years, the most vulnerable communities have been the most affected by water scarcity and poor water distribution. Today, with this project, we are taking a firm step towards a water justice model that prioritizes people’s well-being and environmental balance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the El Conde neighborhood, on R\u00edo de los Remedios Avenue, the municipal president emphasized that the cleanup of the Hondo River will be a reference for the Metropolitan Zone of the Valley of Mexico. \u201cWe are not talking about an isolated action, but a profound transformation that responds to a historical debt with our people. This project represents my government’s commitment to a more just and sustainable future,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by the ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Mexico, Wilfred Mohr; the secretary of Economic Affairs of the embassy, Joris Mansour, and the director of OAPAS, Ricardo Gudi\u00f1o. During his speech, Montoya M\u00e1rquez emphasized that this alliance will optimize the availability of water not only for the industrial sector, but also for households, ensuring a better quality of life for the people of Naucalpan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
