#TlalnepantlaDeBaz<\/strong>, #EstadoDeM\u00e9xico<\/strong>. – Municipal President Raciel P\u00e9rez Cruz<\/strong> led the Commemoration Ceremony for the 219th Anniversary of the Birth of Benito Ju\u00e1rez in the esplanade of the Municipal Palace, where he exclaimed \u00abMexico before Ju\u00e1rez and after Ju\u00e1rez, simply the Homeland\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Mayor highlighted the teaching of Benito Juarez that being a liberal means recognizing fundamental freedoms and rights as inherent to human beings, \u00abMexican liberalism was born in the humanism of the 18th century and served as a source of inspiration for the revolutionary movements of the 19th and 20th centuries, it also denies that power is granted to a ruler by divine will and assures that only the people are the sole holders of sovereignty<\/strong>\u00ab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Of Oaxacan origin, Benito Pablo Ju\u00e1rez Garc\u00eda was born in the prelude to the spring of 1806 and was a child of Zapotec blood. At the age of 25 he began his public career and held positions as local deputy, civil judge, magistrate, minister of justice, federal deputy, governor of the state of Oaxaca, president of the supreme court of justice, until he became president of the Republic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abToday, with deep republican vocation and national pride, from this corner of our homeland, which is our small homeland of Tlalnepantla, we pay homage to the memory, the brilliance, the legacy of a universal Mexican, with all the emotions that the beginning of this spring provokes in us, we affirm that to honor Juarez is to honor the homeland<\/strong>,\u00bb said Raciel Perez Cruz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He recalled that Juarez confronted the reactionaries and conservatives who pretended to be ruled by a blond Austrian emperor, he fought with stoic patriotism against those who tried to stop the course of history. At that time, the country was bankrupt and the invader set foot in Mexico City desecrating the national territory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abWithout money, cannons, bread or gunpowder, Benito Juarez left the National Palace and embarked on an itinerant exodus through the north of the country. Wandering crossed mountains, sierras, deserts, harassed, he suffered hunger and stopped in cities, he floored ranches, he lost children, he heard the roar of the cannons, but he never gave up, he persevered in the fight, against wind and tide to avoid the triumph of the empire<\/strong>\u00ab, he mentioned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to the civic act, the mayor unveiled a plaque in the building located on Morelos Avenue. On July 12, 1867, Benito Juarez stayed in this house when he was President of the Republic and turned this building into the seat of the Powers of the Nation for a few hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of the city council mounted a guard of honor and placed a wreath on the bust of Benito Juarez placed in the esplanade of the Municipal Palace to preserve the legacy and teachings of the \u00abBenem\u00e9rito de las Am\u00e9ricas\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
