#Cuautitl\u00e1nIzcalli<\/strong>, #Edom\u00e9x<\/strong>.- The Municipal Government, through the Directorate of Urban Development and Infrastructure and the Directorate of Urban Services, rehabilitated streets and avenues during the first quarter with 3,787 tonnes of asphalt, which allowed the rehabilitation of 75,740 m2 of streets and avenues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, 11,882 m2 of earthworks were improved with almost 6,000 tonnes of milling resulting from the resurfacing work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was detailed by Montserrat Vargas, Head of Projects of the Directorate of Urban Development and Infrastructure, during the weekly press conference \u00abEl Poder del Pueblo\u00bb.

The resurfacing work during the first quarter of this year was 190% higher than in the same period in 2024, when 26,977 m2 were resurfaced. Meanwhile, the improvement of earthworks with milling during this quarter was five times higher than the 1,951 m2 that were reported to have been treated with this material during the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u00abMap of Actions and Works\u00bb, he recalled, contains a portfolio of priority projects where citizens can see the progress of each one of them. \u00ab(In the Urban Development Department) we programme these actions through the requests we receive from citizens in different areas and we identify what the street deserves, remember that streets have three types of interventions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abPothole patching, where there is only the pothole and it needs to be repaired; mapping, which is a series of potholes in a larger section that merits repair of the base; and rehabilitation, which already has structural damage to the base and most of the bearing surface is already badly fractured\u00bb, he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
