#Tlalnepantla, #Edom\u00e9x<\/strong>,.\u00a0In order to mitigate the risk of flooding during the rainfall expected in the coming months, the Decentralised Public Body for the Provision of Drinking Water, Sewerage and Sanitation Services of Tlalnepantla (OPDM) is launching the \u2018Action Protocol for Rainy Season 2025\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The head of the OPDM, Alberto Vald\u00e9s Rodr\u00edguez, indicated that the strategy includes actions such as cleaning and clearing of primary drainage lines, strategic sumps and points previously identified as risk areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These tasks are carried out by the Agency’s Operational Area, which has 8 pressure-suction trucks that permanently monitor various neighbourhoods in both Tlalnepantla Poniente and Tlalnepantla Oriente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gregorio Ramos Ram\u00edrez, head of the Directorate of Hydraulic Operations, highlighted among the most relevant work, the maintenance carried out on a 30-inch pump in the El Rosario II Reservoir, which was obstructed by a large amount of rubbish, and now has the capacity to discharge up to 1,200 litres per second during heavy rains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, work is coordinated with the Directorate of Civil Protection and Integral Risk Management, which has reinforced prevention measures, carries out tours in critical areas and provides community training to strengthen citizen response to emergencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

OPDM Tlalnepantla urges the population to be co-responsible during this season, avoiding littering in streets, sewers or bodies of water, as these practices are one of the main causes of waterlogging and flooding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
