#Cuautitl\u00e1n Izcalli, #Edom\u00e9x.- In his weekly press conference, the municipal president of Cuautitl\u00e1n Izcalli, Daniel Serrano, explained the actions that his government carried out in the area of Ejidal San Isidro and U.H. Ni\u00f1os H\u00e9roes, after the rains registered last Monday, June 2, which caused the increase in the levels of the El \u00c1ngulo dam. He said that the dam was monitored since Monday night, activating the controlled release protocol through gate 1; while in the Ni\u00f1os Heroes Unit, the flooding was controlled<\/p>\n\n\n\n

by means of two Thompson pumps provided by the Water Commission of the State of Mexico (CAEM).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Between Tuesday, June 3 and Wednesday, June 4, personnel from Operagua, Public Services and Civil Protection coordinated the response to the contingency, with the removal of garbage, attention to homes that were affected by water entry, filling of accesses, clearing of streets, manholes and grates, among other actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOn Thursday we were on a supervision tour in Ejidal San Isidro, we can share with you the data of these works: 100 cubic meters of garbage removed, in addition to the 20 thousand cubic meters of mud previously removed; more than 2 thousand sacks delivered, cleaning of 20 houses and cisterns, clearing of 17 streets and drainage infrastructure, as well as 80 thousand liters of drinking water distributed in 40 homes,\u201d explained Daniel Serrano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, the mayor of Cuautitl\u00e1n Izcalli detailed the results of his meeting with the Senior Official of the Government of the State of Mexico, Trinidad Franco, and the municipal presidents of Atizap\u00e1n de Zaragoza and Tlalnepantla de Baz, Pedro Rodr\u00edguez and Raciel P\u00e9rez, respectively, in which the problem of the dam was addressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00abThere is a technical coincidence between the water operators of Atizap\u00e1n de Zaragoza, Cuautitl\u00e1n Izcalli and CAEM, that the only way to solve this issue is to connect with the Emisor Poniente through the Quetzal collector. A project of this nature is estimated at approximately 150 million pesos, of which we have agreed with Atizap\u00e1n de Zaragoza to jointly contribute 60 million,\u00bb said Daniel Serrano.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
