#TlalnepantlaDeBaz<\/strong>\u00a0, #EstadoDeM\u00e9xico.-<\/strong>\u00a0In order to mitigate the impact of floods during the rainy season, the Government of Tlalnepantla, through the Decentralized Public Organization for the Provision of Drinking Water, Sewerage and Sanitation Services (#OPDM), managed to obtain 80 million pesos from federal and state authorities to carry out prevention actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The General Director of the OPDM, Alberto Vald\u00e9s Rodr\u00edguez detailed that these resources are part of the Master Plan for the Rescue of the Municipalities of the East of the State of Mexico promoted by the President of the Republic, Dr. Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo through which eight sumps located in various communities of the municipality will be rehabilitated in a comprehensive manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These are: El Rosario II, Mario Col\u00edn, Pirules, Tequexquin\u00e1huac, \u00d3palo, Xocoyahualco, La Laguna and Marina Nacional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An additional 20 million pesos will be allocated for the maintenance of the Emisor Poniente Tunnel, a key infrastructure for water drainage during the rainy season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a complementary manner and by instructions of the Municipal President Raciel P\u00e9rez Cruz, the OPDM invested more than 18 million pesos in rehabilitation and cleaning works of sumps in different communities of the municipality, including the removal of solid sediments and their final disposal in the communities of Tequexquin\u00e1huac I, El Rosario II, Unidad Habitacional IMSS Tlalnepantla and Unidad Habitacional El Rosario II.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The La Paloma regulating basin in the Ex Ejido de Tepeolulco neighborhood was also drained, with an approximate extraction volume of 2,300 cubic meters, as well as maintenance, repair and replacement of gutters, sewers, floor grates, storm drains and transversal grates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alberto Vald\u00e9s Rodr\u00edguez pointed out that, as part of the 2026 Investment Plan, several key works are planned to reinforce the municipality’s water infrastructure. These include relief works in areas with recurrent waterlogging, such as the rehabilitation of 600 meters of the rainwater channel on Avenue 9 in the Ex Ejido Tepeolulco neighborhood, recovery of pumping sumps for the efficient discharge of wastewater and rainwater into the Los Remedios River, Tlalnepantla River and the Deep Emitter Tunnel I.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
