#TlalnepantlaDeBaz<\/strong>, #StateOfMexico<\/strong>.- In Tlalnepantla, respect for life is not limited to humans; it also extends to all living beings that share our environment, especially animals, who are often victims of indifference, abandonment, and abuse. Therefore, the Municipal Government is promoting public policies for their care and protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Raciel P\u00e9rez listed a series of commitments to place animals on a social agenda that guarantees their well-being, such as the launch of a new mobile veterinary unit; the implementation of a new municipal protocol for addressing animal abuse; and the creation of a specialized telephone line for all types of reports.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A permanent and massive itinerant campaign will also be launched for free sterilization in all communities; a responsible adoption program for dogs and cats; the provision of accessible, quality veterinary services; the implementation of an educational campaign for animal rights; and the firm enforcement of laws against animal abuse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

P\u00e9rez Cruz swore in the members of the Municipal Council for Animal Protection and Welfare (COMPROBANI). This is a collective effort that includes representatives from civil associations, grassroots representatives, public servants from the State and Municipal Government, as well as residents from various communities, all of whom demonstrate great empathy and commitment to animal welfare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cProtecting animals is not only an act of compassion, it is an act of justice, because animals feel, suffer, want, love, and protect. They are beings that deserve to live with dignity, free from abuse, and they also have the right to access to health services and immediate protection,\u201d said the Councilor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Director of Environmental Sustainability, Mitzi Anda Rubalcava, pointed out that, according to INEGI figures, seven out of ten households in Mexico live with animals, living beings that provide companionship and are a fundamental part of physical and mental health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
