#TlalnepantlaDeBaz<\/strong>, #StateOfMexico<\/strong>.- At around 10:00 p.m. on August 11, a landslide occurred on Legi\u00f3n de Halc\u00f3n Street in the L\u00e1zaro C\u00e1rdenas neighborhood, Section 3. No injuries were reported. The landslide was promptly attended to by the General Directorate of Civil Protection and Comprehensive Risk Management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The head of the department, Pamela Arreguin V\u00e1zquez, reported that, following instructions from Mayor Raciel P\u00e9rez Cruz, six adults and a minor were assisted after a wall collapsed at their home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After an assessment, it was determined that the heavy rains of recent days, coupled with a lack of resources and materials for the construction project, caused the wall, which is part of the home, to collapse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pamela Arreguin commented that so far, three homes are considered high-risk, but the corresponding studies and assessments are being conducted to accurately determine the damage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The victims were taken to a health center for medical supervision, as some of them have chronic conditions and will receive appropriate care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Likewise, two adult dogs and three puppies were referred to a veterinary center through the Environmental Sustainability Directorate to ensure their well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Regarding the next steps, the official commented: \u00abEvaluations are being carried out by engineers and geologists on the terrain, and a determination will be made later as to whether mitigation work is possible.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Director of Civil Protection called on residents in this area: \u00abTo be very aware of any situation they observe inside their homes. If they notice a misaligned frame, a door that no longer closes, windows that do not close or open, or a window that has been broken, this could indicate ground movement, and we ask that they notify us immediately to avoid a more serious situation.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n
