#TlalnepantlaDeBaz, #StateOfMexico<\/strong>.- With a firm commitment to strengthening female participation in the water sector, the National Association of Water and Sanitation Entities of Mexico, A.C. (#ANEAS<\/strong>), is promoting the Pink Helmets initiative, a program aimed at developing women’s leadership within the country’s water and sanitation utility agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This strategic project promotes specialized technical training, access to certification processes, and support in operational roles. Its purpose is to professionalize female talent and consolidate collaborative networks that strengthen service quality for the direct benefit of the user population.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its first phase, a group of 22 women from the Tlalnepantla Municipal Decentralized Public Agency enthusiastically joined the program. The participants take on the challenge of perfecting their knowledge in tasks ranging from fieldwork to the execution of hydraulic works on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the official swearing-in ceremony, the Director General of the OPDM, Alberto Vald\u00e9s Rodr\u00edguez, recognized the transformative role of women in the sector. He reaffirmed the institutional commitment to equity and thanked Patricia Hern\u00e1ndez Mart\u00ednez, Director General of ANEAS, for her constant support of this cause.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On behalf of Mayor Raciel P\u00e9rez Cruz,<\/strong> the head of the Tlalnepantla Women’s Department, Minerva Barr\u00f3n Escobedo, emphasized that this action represents an act of social justice. She also highlighted the importance of moving toward true inclusion in areas traditionally occupied by men.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the event, the photography exhibition \u00abWater and Gender\u00bb was inaugurated, honoring the historical participation of women in water management. The exhibition will be open to the public from September 17 to October 10 in the Dr. Gustavo Baz Prada Civic Plaza, reinforcing Tlalnepantla’s commitment to an inclusive water agenda.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
