#Tec\u00e1mac<\/strong>, #EstadoDeM\u00e9xico.-<\/strong>\u00a0The Tec\u00e1mac City Council will hold a commemorative ceremony this Friday for the 200th anniversary of the municipality’s establishment, a date of profound historical significance. During the solemn ceremony, the Municipal Civil Merit Award will be presented in recognition of citizens who have contributed to the development of the region in various areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event will take place on the municipal esplanade and will be led by the Municipal President, Rosi Wong Romero, along with members of the City Council. Special guests will be present, including Senator Mariela Guti\u00e9rrez Escalante, who will accompany this significant celebration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The awards will be presented in various categories, including the \u00abHeberto Castillo Mart\u00ednez\u00bb Scientific and Research Merit Award; the \u00abFelipe Villanueva Guti\u00e9rrez\u00bb Award for Artistic, Literary, and Cultural Merit; and the \u00abJos\u00e9 Vasconcelos Calder\u00f3n\u00bb Award for Pedagogical and Teaching Merit. Academic Excellence will also be recognized with the \u00abNi\u00f1os H\u00e9roes de Chapultepec\u00bb award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other categories include Community Service \u00abMexican Red Cross,\u00bb Municipal Public Service \u00abDon Germ\u00e1n Est\u00e9vez L\u00f3pez,\u00bb Municipal Strengthening \u00abGeneral L\u00e1zaro C\u00e1rdenas del R\u00edo,\u00bb and Economic Development Promotion \u00abFelipe \u00c1ngeles International Airport.\u00bb Additionally, Environmental Care will be recognized with the \u00abSierra Hermosa Ecological Reserve\u00bb award, and Gender Equality with the \u00abJuana In\u00e9s de Asbaje\u00bb award.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The history of Tec\u00e1mac dates back to September 12, 1825, when it was established as a municipality, with Juan Nepomuceno Obreg\u00f3n as its first mayor, just two years after the founding of the State of Mexico. The presentation of the Academic Excellence medal will continue on Saturday the 13th as part of the commemorative activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
