#MinistryOfHealth<\/strong>,\u00a0#Mexico<\/strong>.\u2013\u00a0The Mexican Ministry of Health reports that National Public Health Week 2025, held from September 6 to 13 throughout Mexico under the slogan \u00abUnited for your health, building well-being,\u00bb concluded with historic results that exceeded the established national goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The goal set for this edition was 20 million people reached and 30,000 activities carried out. However, the results far exceeded these figures: 35,668 health promotion and prevention activities were carried out, representing 118 percent of the target; 26.2 million people were reached nationwide, representing 131 percent of the original population coverage goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

National Public Health Week not only brings prevention closer to communities, but also allows for diagnostics and generates indicators that show the state of the population’s health, constituting a strategic tool to guide public policies and strengthen primary care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The actions implemented included vaccination campaigns, with the administration of 7,862 doses against the Human Papillomavirus (HPV), as well as 385,955 doses against measles, essential to protect children and prevent outbreaks of vaccine-preventable diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The effort was made possible thanks to the coordinated participation of the 32 states and health sector institutions: the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), IMSS Bienestar, the Institute of Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE), the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of the Navy, and Petr\u00f3leos Mexicanos (Pemex), as well as the collaboration of the Pan American Health Organization\/World Health Organization (PAHO\/WHO), the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), civil society organizations, academic institutions, local governments, the media, and, notably, the active participation of Mexicans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
