Drivers from various local <strong>minibus<\/strong> and <strong>taxi routes<\/strong> will now act as the \u00abeyes\u00bb of the authorities, promptly reporting any <strong>criminal activity<\/strong> they witness. This cooperative effort officially commenced with the goal of strengthening the <strong>security infrastructure<\/strong> within the area and establishing a new level of <strong>civic surveillance<\/strong> and community protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Announcing the launch near the Normal Metro station, specifically from <strong>Route 28<\/strong>, <strong>Mayor Tabe<\/strong> confirmed the programme is beginning with the commitment of <strong>300 drivers<\/strong>, with many more expected to join soon. He stressed that the <strong>Miguel Hidalgo Council<\/strong> is making daily efforts to <strong>&#8216;shield&#8217; its neighbourhoods<\/strong> and to safeguard residents, allowing them to <strong>\u00abwalk with freedom and without fear.\u00bb<\/strong> The initiative is a direct measure to fulfil the administration\u2019s core promise to significantly improve <strong>public security<\/strong> and restore community confidence in local travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"220\" src=\"https:\/\/mexiconews.tv\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/mh-2.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-31502\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Mayor elaborated on the programme&#8217;s purpose, stating: \u00ab<strong>The programme is &#8216;Conductor Vigilante&#8217;, where the routes will in solidarity help us transmit the message to the operators so that every driver of a unit, of a microbus, of a minibus and of a taxi becomes one more observer, one more pair of eyes that watches over our borough<\/strong>.\u00bb This clarification highlights the importance of <strong>collective responsibility<\/strong> in maintaining order and proactively <strong>deterring crime<\/strong>. Furthermore, <strong>Vigilant Drivers<\/strong> are encouraged to report \u00abnot just one type of crime, but <strong>any situation<\/strong> that puts the security of our residents at risk,\u00bb ensuring comprehensive oversight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following the placement of the initial <strong>micro-perforated signs<\/strong> on <strong>Route 28<\/strong>, which alone comprises <strong>186 units<\/strong>, <strong>Mauricio Tabe<\/strong> extended an open invitation for more operators to enlist in this <strong>innovative partnership<\/strong>. Routes <strong>4, 5, 46 and 17<\/strong> are already participating, alongside several <strong>taxi ranks<\/strong>, including those at Rufina\/Avenida Jalisco and La Granje\/Ej\u00e9rcito Nacional, underscoring its broad scope.
